Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical Technician
Position Description
The position applies knowledge of electrical/electronics, mechanical, graphical user interface software, and firmware to support to all areas of R&D including building prototypes, testing products, designing and maintaining of equipment and devices.
The role of this position is to design, build maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, components and laboratory equipment.
Successful Electronics Technicians are fast learners and self-motivated, independent workers. They must have the ability to work under pressure and the willingness to work in multicultural settings.
Essential Job Functions
Responsibilities include basic designs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electronics, mechanical, electrical, wearables, gaming, printed circuit boards, printed electronics boards, and computer-based equipment. Skill-level requirements vary from troubleshooting wearables to board or component-level repair to lab equipment maintenance. Assembles experimental circuitry or complete prototypes according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.
Job Qualifications
Required
- Associate degree (or BS) in electronics, electromechanical or computer science
- Minimum 5 years working experience in R&D and Manufacturing environments with electronics and PCBs
- Experience in assembling and testing of electronics PCBs, and electronics systems
- Experience in setup of electronics Lab benches and maintenance of electronics equipment
- Collects Data, Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics from the data
- Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
- Demonstrated communication skills to working groups, and peers
Desired
- Direct experience with haptic actuators, wearables, gaming systems, and AR/VR systems
- Direct experience in support of both R&D, and manufacturing
- Direct experience in design of printed circuit boards, flexible substrates, and assembly
Senior Field Applications Engineer
Position Description
In this position you will design, build, troubleshoot, test, validate and benchmark haptic actuators, and haptic solutions based on our latest and greatest technologies. Additionally, you will provide expertise to develop and manage solutions for data collection, characterization, for haptic actuators/solutions in wearables, augmented reality, virtual reality, and gaming devices. The ideal candidate has a broad knowledge of product development including hardware, firmware, and software. The job requires travel to visit customers with Sales, Marketing and other team members.
Essential Job Functions
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
- Technical support/trouble shooting for sales, marketing, design and development activities
- Closely work with internal and external customers
- Create reference and customer prototype designs from concept to samples
- Devise innovative techniques for testing and characterizing for customer solutions
- Create standard haptic effects including establishment of APIs and effect libraries
Job Qualifications
Required
- Highly motivated individual with a passion for creative thinking in use cases of disruptive products
- MS.E.E. or Ph.D.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Filed Application Engineer in electronics, wearable, AR or VR
- Technical experience with hardware, firmware, and software
- Working knowledge of realizing solutions from abstract ideas
- Software development experience beneficial
- Comfortable with at least one scripting language (i.e. Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby,...)
- Working knowledge with haptic and sensor data analytics
- Travel to customer sites to support Design, Test, Product, Manufacturing Engineers, sales and marketing
- Excellent team work and people skill across departments for development and/or marketing efforts
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written

Senior Electrical Engineer
Position Description
In this Electrical Engineering (EE) position, you will develop test platforms, from custom board level design to integrated systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of FPGA development, comfortable driving chip designers, including application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC). You will design, build, troubleshoot, test, validate and benchmark haptic actuators, and complete haptic solutions. Additionally, you will provide expertise to develop and manage solutions for data collection and analysis of haptic actuator characterization, supporting applications in wearables, augmented reality, virtual reality, and gaming devices. The ideal candidate has a broad knowledge of product development including hardware, firmware, and software. The job may require travel to visit customers with Sales, Marketing and other team members.

- Experience managing/driving ASIC and FPGA design with external suppliers and partners
- Closely work with internal and external customers

- Create standard haptic effects including establishment of APIs and effect libraries
Job Qualifications
- Highly motivated individual with a passion for creative thinking in use cases of disruptive products
- 5+ years of experience working as a Electrical Engineer
- Technical experience with hardware, firmware, and software
- Working knowledge of realizing solutions from abstract ideas
- Comfortable with at least one scripting language (i.e. Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby,...)
- Working knowledge with haptic and sensor data analytics
- Excellent team work and people skill across departments for development and/or marketing efforts
